Meaning
“Princess”
Sarah was Abraham's wife and the mother of Isaac. Originally named Sarai meaning "my princess," God renamed her Sarah meaning "princess" or "noblewoman" when promising she would be the mother of nations. At 90 years old, Sarah miraculously gave birth to Isaac, becoming the mother of the Jewish nation. She is honored in the New Testament as an example of faith and is called "a holy woman" who trusted God.
