“Beloved, wished-for child”
Mary is the most celebrated woman in the Bible. From Hebrew Miryam, possibly meaning "bitter," "beloved," or "rebellious." Mary, the mother of Jesus, was chosen by God to bear His Son, demonstrating extraordinary faith and obedience. The Bible records her humility, pondering God's word in her heart, and her presence at Jesus' crucifixion.
