Giosuè dunque batté tutto il paese, la contrada montuosa, il mezzogiorno, la regione bassa, le pendici, tutti i loro re; non lasciò scampare alcuno, ma votò allo sterminio tutto ciò che avea vita, come l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele, avea comandato.
